The office of the Controller of Examinations has been successfully functioning as the central unit in the college administration tasked with overseeing all aspects of examinations, from planning and execution to results publication and grievance handling for the past 29 years. On completion of the ESE evaluation process, results are declared within a range of 10 – 18 days. Graduation Day is regularly conducted for the outgone batch of scholars inviting academicians in the rank of vice-chancellor Scientists and scholars of international reputation.Choice Based Credit System has been followed since 2004 and the curriculum has been brought under Outcome Based Education since 2017.
The Controller of Examination is responsible for preparing the academic calendar
related to examination including setting dates for Continuous Internal Assessment and
End Semester Examinations, conduct of practical and supplementary examinations.
Board of studies is regularly conducted twice in a year bringing revision in the
syllabi.
The departments plan for change in the syllabus based on the feedback from
all stackholders taking into mind the industry needs and also the latest trends in both
core and allied papers. With the representative from the Parent University for each
subject the HOD and Professors organize the Board of Studies.
The COE overseas in collection and printing of question papers. The question papers
are scrutinized by senior staff members of all departments to ensure the efficacy of the
question papers.
The COE ensures that all examination processes are smoothly conducted on
scheduled dates. The office works on improving examination process incorporating
new technologies, and adopting best practices in assessment and evaluation.
The COE handles student grievances related to exams, such as re-evaluation
requests and re-appearance of examinations.
The office environment is professional and secure, with restricted access to
maintain the confidentially of examination materials. It operates under strict
protocols to ensure efficiency, confidentially and transparency in the conduct of both
Internal and External examination.
The LMS-CAMU and Examination Management
System help in the execution of the work, especially in processing marksheets with
high security features. Semester system is followed and exams are conducted every
year in October / November and in April / May after 90 working days in each
semesters.
